During the Art, Crafts and Culture workshops “Let's Build a Work of Art”, an artistic photography project was developed with the participating off the women. The author, Aurora Farina, was attending the workshops and very spontaneously began photographing the women using the plastic waste, collected on the beaches of Narazé, with which we were working.
From the fear of being photographed and the exposure of their image, we pass, in a few days, to the desire to see the photos and to take more and more pictures. All the women who participated gave permission for the use of their photographs, either in the Graphic Diary we built during the workshops, or in the exhibitions we have already held, and we will still hold with the artistic installation “The Octopus”.
The photo shoots were instrumental in forging bonds between women of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. To each one of them, a quality, large-format reproduction of their portrait was offered.
