One of the objectives of WEMIN project was to bring together migrant, refugee and local women in arts&crafts workshops.
These workshops have been implemented in three cycles in Strasbourg, France. One of them was an upcycling workshop and was developed in collaboration with the association “Creative Vintage”. Another workshop concerned embroidery, painting and herbal-dyeing animated by the association L’Atelier du Club. The last one was a workshop about photography in cooperation with the association Stimultania.
To celebrate the end of these artistic workshops, ALDA organized and exhibition at the alternative gallery Syndicat Potentiel. The exhibition was opened to visitors from the 14th to the 16th of November. It allowed to highlight the creations that migrant, refugee and local women have made during the artistic workshops held in Strasbourg between July and October. Their creations were exhibited alongside explanatory texts as well as photos taken by the organisers in order to explain the workshops.
On the evening of the 14th November, the vernissage of the exhibition took place. It was a very pleasant and friendly moment thanks to the music, games, the free Lebanese buffet and the upcycling workshop offered by the Creative Vintage association.
