The second Portuguese language and culture course ended in June and was entitled to a diplomas session at the Festa de Junho, Arraial Composto, with a multicultural afternoon meal.
About 18 women participated, predominantly from Asian nationalities such as Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Many of them also participated in the “Saturdays in Construction” workshops.
More than learning Portuguese language and culture, it was an opportunity to create friendships and social networks which contributed to the effective change in the lives of these women.
