German WEMIN partner ifa Akademie was invited to participate in EPALE’s conference on Open Educational Resources (OER) in European projects. The one-day meeting took place April 5th, 2019 in Bonn at the premises of the German National Agency. Key educational experts presented ways how to create OERs. In addition, legal and technical aspects were discussed. In the plenary, participants discussed how to reach out to various and diverse target groups with OER materials. In four workshops, there was focus on software tools for OERs, samples of good practice, digital collaboration and co-creation and practical exercises.
ifa Akademie presented several outcomes of the WEMIN project and gave an outlook on the project website and the planned learning platform which is currently developed. Contacts were established with two organizations working in the field of volunteering for migrant and refugee women. Another organization working with migrant women contributed with their experience on empowerment of younger migrant and refugee women. Special attention was given on how to empower and motivate younger migrant and refugee women to participate in active citizenship and civil society groups and to contribute with their views and experience to a better and needs oriented social dialogue in Europe.
