Arraial Composto decorations, made from materials reused, by migrant and refugee women, together with women from the host community, as part of the “Saturdays in Construction” workshops, were also used to decorate a sustainable art festival that took place. during the month of August, in S. Luís, in southern Portugal, in the Alentejo region.
The festival is called FIVAcc and is an international video art festival, promoted by the organization “Cultivamos Cultura”, which took place from 25 to 31 August, in a small Alentejo village called São Luís, with a strong collaborative aspect. All the daytime programming was open and was the burden of participants and visitors.
Wemin was entitled to an exhibition space with photographs of the decoration construction process and an explanation of the project's objectives.
It was a source of pride for all the girls!
